If you close your eyes, you can see the music

I've been creating atmospheric instrumental soundscape type music since I was at University - around 1988-89 I made an album using a Tascam 4 track cassette recorder, a cheap microphone and a friend's new computer which was limited to the standard 128 midi sounds. I made elementary field recordings and merged them with composed music. I'm not sure whether a copy of this still exists (if there is one it's up in the loft buried away somewhere) but I do remember I called it "If you close your eyes, you can see the music".

It was always my intention to develop that work when I had more time, but then I got a career (in libraries) and had a family, and time ticked on - and now here I am, with the time, and the equipment, and the enthusiasm to make "If you close your eyes you can see the music (vol.2)".

At the moment I'm in the development phase, doing the musical equivalent of artist sketches, but I've included some initial recordings which you can access on the Music page of this website - I hope you like them.
